Corporate Responsibility
Merz Aesthetics is committed to setting high corporate ethical standards while providing quality products and services that comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Merz Aesthetics has developed and adopted a Comprehensive Compliance Program (CCP) in accordance with the Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers published by the Office of Inspector General of the US Department of Health and Human Services (OIG Guidance). Merz Aesthetics also incorporates policies that comply with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Health Care Professionals, and with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America’s Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals. Merz intends for this program to meet the requirements of the State of California as well as other states that have enacted laws requiring pharmaceutical companies to implement a comprehensive compliance program and code of conduct.
As the OIG Guidance recognizes, however, implementing such a program cannot guarantee that improper employee conduct will be entirely eliminated. We expect all Merz Aesthetics employees to comply with the CCP and the policies established in support of the CCP.
Merz Aesthetics declares, to the best of its knowledge and based on its good faith understanding of the statutory requirements, that it is, in all material respects in substantial compliance with its CCP and the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code § 119402 as of June 30, 2024. Merz Aesthetics will evaluate and update its CCP, as necessary and appropriate.
